Josh Tuttle selected as a 2024 Top 40 Under 40 by Huntsville Business Journal
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Josh Tuttle, Aerobotix business development manager, was recently selected by the Huntsville Business Journal as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for 2024. The list is comprised of individuals nominated by the business community who work in the Huntsville or Madison County area.
This annual program, created by the Huntsville Business Journal, was designed to identify, recognize, and honor forty individuals under the age of forty who have proven themselves to be instrumental in their company’s accomplishments and success.
“I’m honored to be mentioned amongst a group of people who work to better not only their company but our community,” said Tuttle.
As business development manager, Josh has helped Aerobotix build partnerships with some of the world’s largest aerospace and defense contractors. 2023 was a record year for the company, with sales growing 175% from the previous year.
Further, Josh has been instrumental in Aerobotix receiving multiple awards from customers and suppliers. For example, Lockheed Martin’s Space Division has awarded Aerobotix the Supplier Recognition Award for Ease of Doing Business and described the Huntsville-based company as “a vital partner.” Aerobotix has also been honored on multiple occasions by FANUC, America’s leading supplier of automation products and services. Aerobotix has received FANUC’s Outstanding Sales Growth Award five times since 2010, attesting to the sustained high growth that Josh and the Aerobotix sales team has achieved over more than a decade.
Internationally, Josh has spearheaded the Aerobotix team’s collaborative efforts, creating partnerships with other automation companies, including ASA (Australia) and FerRobotics (Austria). ASA and Aerobotix have jointly announced an international robotics partnership for the development, testing and manufacturing of hypersonic missiles. Aerobotix has also recently partnered with FerRobotics to develop the Active Taping Kit (ATK), an award-winning solution in response to aerospace industry demand for an automated tool for precision application of masking tape. The ATK was honored as one of only five projects to be nominated for the Econovius, a special prize under the Austrian National Innovation Award. Josh’s work in partnering with international companies continues to expand the Aerobotix footprint beyond Alabama and the United States while providing the company’s Huntsville-based engineers with invaluable professional development opportunities.
Josh brings to Aerobotix customers in the defense industry his knowledge and expertise from having served his country with distinction as a human resource sergeant in the Army National Guard for nearly ten years. He was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn from December 2010 to – November 2011, and, during his time in the military, earned the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star.
